10th Anniversary of the Death of Saint John Paul II
On 2 April 2005 at 21:37 Saint John Paul II was called to the house of the Father. Ten years have passed since his death and the Philatelic and Numismatic Office will mark the anniversary with the issue of a ten euro silver commemorative coin. The artistic work is by Cristina De Giorgi who skillfully reproduces the coat of arms of Pope Francis on the obverse side, while on the reverse side, the profile of Saint John Paul II who led the Church and its faithful into the new millennium.
