This new series proposes an overview of some of the nicest buildings of the French capital bearing a gilded part in their facade. Each year, two buildings will be honoured. The obverse portrays the central portion of the gates. In the background, a view of the Palace of Versailles from the garden side. The edge of the coin shows a detailed view of the gates design and below the « Château de Versailles » inscription. At the top, the emblem of the Sun King. The coin is enhanced by a gold deposit on the gates central portion close-up. The reverse proposes a modern representation of Paris and its districts. On the top, we have the name of the collection.
